Recycled Plastic

Recycled plastic is plastic that can be re-melted and re-molded into new products.
Using recycled plastic helps to reduce solid waste going to a landfill, saves resources and reduces the CO2 emission into the atmosphere.

There are three steps to recycling plastic: sorting, melting and remolding.

The aim of sorting is to remove all contaminants. The sorted plastic is then melted to form pellets and then re-molded into new products. Recycled plastics contain different physical and chemical properties. Therefore, MPI will suggest the most appropriate recycled plastic for a customer’s project.

Solar Movement

A solar movement is a watch movement that can convert light energy into electrical energy. An eco-friendly rechargeable battery will then store the electrical energy and power the watch movement. An opaque dial can be used on these solar powered watches. MPI has the technical know-how to design this type of dial which gives enough light transmission to the solar cell while keeping the design of the opaque dial as if it were used on ordinary quartz and automatic watches.
